Abstract

1,021,350. Rotary-piston I.C. engines. KLOCKNER-HUMBOLDT DEUTZ A.G. March 26, 1963 [April 2, 1962], No. 11893/63. Heading F1F. In a rotary-piston I.C. engine of the trochoidal n and n+1 lobe type, lubrication of the piston 1 (Fig. 1, not shown) is effected through a duct 13 situated in one of the lateral walls 3 of the casing 2 between an oil sealing-ring or strip 14 and lateral sealing-strips (Fig. 2, not shown) which are lodged in each side face of the piston. The duct may be in register with an annular groove 12 in the piston which is connected by a bore 11 to a groove containing a radial sealing- strip 7 in each apex of the piston. Each of the strips 7 is biased outwardly by a wavy leafspring 8.
