1317891 Coated sheet materials STOREY BROS & CO Ltd 19 May 1970 [27 May 1969] 26795/69 Heading B2E A vacuum formable sheet comprises a non- woven nylon fabric sandwiched between layers of plasticised polyvinyl chloride which have been cast and set in situ. In the example, a sheet is formed by coating an embossed releasecoated paper with a lacquer comprising polyvinyl chloride and an acrylic resin and passed through a heated oven to dry the coating prior to the application of a polyvinyl chloride paste to form a skin coating which is gelled by passage through a heated oven. A coating of an expandable polyvinyl chloride paste is then applied, covered with a butadiene-acrylonitrile polymer bonded, non-woven nylon fabric and the assembly passed into a heated gelling oven, the resultant product being coated with the expandable polyvinyl chloride paste which is gelled in a heated oven prior to stripping the product from the release paper.
