1316902 Basic refractories DOLOMITE BRICK CORP OF AMERICA 28 April 1971 11984/71 Heading ClJ Basic refractory aggregate is mixed with a liquid H.C. containing binder at room temperature, the mix shaped and then tempered by heating to 400-700‹ F. by microwave radiation of frequency 900-25,000 megacycles per sec. The aggregate can be mixed with combinations of a petroleum H.C. resin, carbon, pitch, a wax dissolved in oil, and fuel oil. Dolomite, periclase, magnesite and their mixtures are specified. The microwave tempering can be followed by other heating methods.
