Abstract
1315685 Space heaters DAVID R LORD Ltd 20 Jan 1972 [13 Nov 1970] 54041/70 Heading F4S Space heating apparatus, particularly for heating industrial premises such as workshops, comprises a U-shaped radiant heating tube 15 through which combustion gases from a gas fired burner unit 16 are drawn by means of a fan 21 and exhausted through outlet ducts 19 and 20. A safety switch 23 is provided to shut off the main gas supply to the burner unit 16 if the fan motor fails. The U-shaped heating tube 15 is supported on a structure comprising a number of spaced apart sets of interconnected bars 10, 11 and a longitudinally corrugated reflector plate 14. The apparatus is held in any desired position by means of suspension chains 13. More than one U-shaped tube may be utilized, each tube having its own burner unit.
