Abstract

1356305 Air heating stoves; space heating or cooling units; burners GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 8 Sept 1971 [10 Sept 1970] 41877/71 Headings F4S F4V and F4T In a gas-fired space heater of the kind described in Specification 1,347,509, the burner unit 12 comprises an inverted horizontal elongate trough 26 whose vertical side walls 27, 28 are each provided with a number of rows of apertures 29, 29b, 30, 30b for primary and secondary combustion air supplied by a blower (31, Fig. 1) through a conduit 34. A fuel gas supply conduit 36 extending longitudinally through the trough has a plurality of rows of fuel gas inlet apertures 37a, 37a<SP>1</SP>, 37b, 37b<SP>1</SP> in its bottom surface. The rows of apertures 37a, 37a<SP>1</SP> are longitudinally offset with respect to the rows of apertures 37b, 37b<SP>1</SP> but are aligned with the combustion air inlet apertures 29, 29b, 30, 30b in the adjacent trough side wall.
