Abstract
914,754. Drying-ovens. BALLARD & CO. Ltd., F. J. Sept. 8, 1960 [Sept. 8, 1959], No. 30637/59. Class 34 (2). [Also in Group XII] A drying oven comprises at least two oven units, each having heating medium supply means, means for controlling the supply means, and means for controlling the temperature and ventilation within the unit, the ends of the units being secured together in spaced-apart relation to provide explosion relief means between the units which is formed of soft heat-insulating material covered by a skin of pliable heatinsulating sheet material. Each unit 11, Fig. 1, comprises roof and wall panels 13 having means 14 for controlling the supply of heating medium and for controlling the temperature, ventilation and other conditions within the unit. Each panel comprises sheet metal, parallel inner and outer skins 15, 16, which are spaced apart by apertured members 17, and the ends of each unit have projecting brackets 19 positioned to abut the bracket on an adjacent unit for securing to each other. The space 21 between the spaced-apart and adjacent units is filled with a soft heat-insulating material which is retained in position by strips 22 of pliant heatresistant material to provide explosion relief between units.
