Abstract

The curtain is formed of a multiplicity of panels (1) which are articulated and are stored folded against the ceiling (3). In case of fire they are rapidly lowered to form a curtain between the ceiling and the group (2). The panels have a frame which is not deformed by fire and contains at least two plates of thermal insulating material which enclose an air space (4). The panels have gas tight hinged joints where two panels are articulated, having one part on the interior of the joint (9) and the other part (8) on the outside of the joint.
