Abstract

131,446. Edwards, L. A. Aug. 20, 1918. Composition fuel.-From waste or other paper is prepared a light, coarse granular substance which may be treated for the production of fuel. The granular substance is obtained by soaking the paper in cold water for two or three days, breaking up the pulp thus formed into small pieces which are lightly rubbed or rolled into small pieces and then dried in the air or by other means. The granular substance is impregnated with paraffin or paraffin oil or other preferably heavy hydrocarbon and may be perfumed as well as coloured.
