Abstract

1311934 Car window mechanism S TSURUMI 10 April 1970 [11 April 1969] 17036/70 Heading E2M A car quarter-light window pane is raised and lowered with the main door windowpane, and may also be opened alone by pivoting about a vertical axis, when the main windowpane is fully raised. In Figure 1, triangular windowpane 12 is coupled to main windowpane 11 by frames 31 and 32 and both are raised and lowered by means of handle 41 and channel-guides 36, 37. When pane 12 is in its upper closed position, it may be pivotally opened from the inside only by means of lever 21 and the cam assembly shown in Fig. 5. The window may then be closed by manual pressure on the window from inside or out. It is also possible to use an electric motor to raise or lower the window.
