Abstract

1310546 Cellular vulcanized 1,2-polybutadienes JAPAN SYNTHETIC RUBBER CO Ltd 11 June 1970 28421/70 Heading C3C A cellular vulcanized rubber is derived from a polybutadiene comprising at least 50% of units having a 1, 2-configuration. The cellular rubber is made by heating the polybutadiene in the presence of a blowing agent, e.g. dinitrosopenta - methylene tetramine with a ureatype blowing promoter, and a vulcanizing agent, e.g. sulphur with dibenzothiazyl disulphide, mercaptobenzothiazole and/or hexamethylene tetramine, zinc oxide and stearic acid. The rubber may also be compounded with process oil, calcium carbonate, clay, titanium dioxide, silica, coumarone-indene resin, diethylene glycol, a di-tert-butyl-p-cresol and/or a di-tertamyl-hydroquinone.
