1308385 Electrohydrodynamic generators TUNZINI AMELIORAIR THERMIQUE AERAULIQUE MECANIQUE 29 July 1970 [31 July 1969] 36800/70 Heading H2P An E.H.D. generator in which fluid flows from a convergent-divergent nozzle 2 containing an ionizing needle 3 through a, sleeve 4 to a downstream collector adjacent the outlet end of the sleeve is fed with air having a humidity greater than 50% and substantially free of hydrocarbon. The air is passed through filters 7, 8 which trap at least 99% of particles having a diameter greater than 0-3 microns and contain absorbants for hydrocarbons. The sleeve 4 consists of ceramic or vitreous material, preferably glass with a high silicon content and the internal wall of the nozzle has a smooth erosionresistant surface provided, for example, by a coating of nickel on a metal or insulating body.
