Abstract

Aug. 30, 1918 Sack-holders.-A sack-holder comprises a stand a carrying a plate d to which two slotted vertical members g formed with bent sack-supporting ends i are pivoted by bolts e secured by wing-nuts h. The memhers g may be adjusted vertically by moving the slotted portions up or down on the pivots. Each member g is also provided with a bolt and nut l, m, which passes through a curved slot in the plate d so that the sack-holding ends i may be swung about the pivots e and adjusted nearer to, or farther from, each other. In use, the out-turned edge of the sack is passed over the members i. The members i may be inclined slightly, as shown by the dotted lines p, so as to facilitate filling the sack. In the Provisional Specification, it is stated that, in a modified form, one only of the vertical members may be capable of adjustment towards or from the other.
