Abstract
253,203. Sharp, W. R. March 13, 1925. Brackets and racks, securing.-The attachment portion of a bracket comprises two jaws engaging a projection such as a shelf with a lever action. The jaws d are stepped as at d<2>, inclined or parabolic at their inner faces, and the lower jaw g<1> may be longer than or slide upon the upper jaw g. The jaws may be serrated and so shaped that the outer end of the upper jaw forms a fulcrum about which the bracket swings when placed in position until the outer end of the longer lower jaw g<1> engages the projection. By reversing the bracket a second inclination is obtained. Rods b may connect two brackets a' to form a rack. A vertically adjustable sling h suspended from the bracket forms a leg-rest. A safety catch may extend to the back of the shelf.
