Abstract
252,282. Miller, W. Feb. 28, 1925. Garment and umbrella racks and stands. - A rack for displaying &c. trousers, umbrellas &c. comprises a hinged arm a provided with sockets q, integral therewith or slidably mounted thereon, in which are pivoted suspender rods c, the arm a being inclined so that the rods c lie at different levels. One or more arms a may be carried by a pedestal stand which may be telescopic. In a modification shown in Fig. 6 arms a are hinged to two uprights g supporting a flat top j on which the trousers &c. may be folded. The arms a may be adjustably hinged so as to vary the inclination and the rods c may be formed in sections hinged together at r as shown in Fig. 9, one section extending downwardly from the arm a and the other section extending horizontally below this arm. The sockets q may be pivoted to the arms a shown in Fig. 9. In a modificaetion the sockets q are dispensed with, the ends of the rods c slidably engaging a groove in the arm a. Specification 229,770 is referred to. According to the Provisional Specification the arms a may each comprise two or more lengths hinged together.
