Abstract

130,705. Soc. Anon. pour l'Exploitation des ProcÚdÚs Westinghouse- Leblanc, Aug. 23, 1917, [Convention date]. Projectiles.-Relates to pro. jectiles provided with a set of vanes and an open-ended tail. piece. According to the invention, to facilitate the manufacture of the tail, which is made with a comparatively wide bore throughout, it is formed in two parts A, B which are connected together at C by a screwed joint having an internal shoulder. The shoulder is so dimensioned that the stress tending to separate the parts of the tail when the projectile is fired is reduced to a minimum.
