Abstract

1306649 Flexible connector device SIEMENS AG 18 June 1971 [18 June 1970] 28829/71 Heading E2F A container lid 8 is connected to a box 7 by a device having a knob 2 on one end of a flexible shaft 3 axially slidable in a sleeve 4, the sleeve having an abutment 4d co-operable with an abutment 5 on the shaft to limit the movement of the knob-end of the shaft out of the sleeve, and co-operable means (e.g. a screw thread or bayonet joint) on the knob 2 and sleeve 4 whereby they can be attached to each other. The abutment 5 may be secured to the shaft 3 by a screw and the sleeve 4 may have screw or bayonet means for attaching it into a bore 11 in the box 7. The shaft and abutment 5 may be of polyvinyl chloride and sleeve 4 of metal or a polyamide. The knob 2 may be secured to the shaft 3 by a spring pin 18. The sleeve 4 may have external spanner flats.
