Abstract
1306470 Pistons DR ING hcF PORSCHE KG 23 Sept 1971 [23 Sept 1970] 44484/71 Heading F2T An internal combustion engine piston of magnesium alloy is coated on its sliding surface 5 with a layer 7 which has a greater resistance to wear than said magnesium alloy and is adheringly applied on an intermediate layer 8 of aluminium. The layers 7 and 8 are also provided on the ring grooves 6 and the bores 9 of the gudgeon pin bosses 4 are coated with a layer 8<SP>1</SP> of aluminium. The layer 7 is of chrome applied by galvanizing or electroplating.
