1305318 Making burners ULGOR SCI 19 April 1971 [26 Feb 1970 10 June 1970 23 Sept 1970] 22874/71 Heading B3A [Also in Division F4] A multiple gas burner (Figs. 1 and 2) (Divisions F3-F4) comprises a plurality of individual parallel burner bars in which each individual burner bar is coupled directly to its neighbours and the first and last burner bars are coupled directly to a gas distribution arrangement 1 formed of two pairs of homologue dished sheet components 2 and 3 which make passages including Venturi tubes 5 for gas and primary air delivery. These pairs of components 2 and 3 are connected by a pair of bent sheet components 7 including openings 11 for secondary air and fastened by interlinking rims (12) and rivets 13. The side walls of each burner bar are formed of two similar dished components 14 and 15 (Fig. 5), one having a tubular extension 16 of smaller diameter and the other having a tubular extension 17 of larger diameter for coupling with the complementary extensions of neighbouring burner bars. Dished parts 19 and 20 at the upper edges supply rigidity to each burner bar while parts of the upper edges are bent outwardly to engage inwardly-directed wing portions (24 and 25) of perforated top covers 21. Along the upper edge of components 14 and 15, a recess is provided which is longer than the burner bar cover 21 and limits its movement. A second embodiment for higher calorific power comprises two gas distribution devices feeding parallel burner bars.
