Abstract

1303611 Optical apparatus worn by the user H ADLER 30 March 1971 8126/71 Heading G2J A colour and surface structure comparator comprises a binocular frame to be worn on the face of the user, the frame having a pair of windows for viewing therethrough, shielding means on the frame to permit passage of light to the eyes only through the windows, object-magnifying lens means in the windows, and colour temperature charging filter means movable in to and out of location across the windows. As shown, filter assembly 25 is hinged to the frame at 26, and may be held in from of the windows by clip 27. In another embodiment, the frame carries telescope-type oculars, each carrying a filter which is rotatable over or not over its respective ocular Fig.4 (not shown). The comparator may be used in conjunction with an incadescent tungater lamp for illuminating objects to be compared, and a voltage regulator to modify the colour temperature of the lamp Fig.3 (not shown).
