Abstract

1303046 Revaporizing liquefied gases NORMALAIR-GARRETT Ltd 20 Oct 1970 [10 Nov 1969] 54809/69 Heading F4P A liquefied gas storage and revaporizing system, e.g. for supplying oxygen to aviators, comprises a filler, vent and relief valve 1 including a filler chamber 2 and non-return valve 3 connected to a storage vessel 12 via a pipe-line 9 a container 10 and a heating coil 11, vaporized gas being delivered via a pipe 14. The valve 1 i s connected to the top of vessel 12 and has a relief valve 6 and automatic vent valve 5. After filling the vessel 12, vaporization of liquified gas in the container 10 and the coil 11 causes bubbles of gas to enter the vessel 12 until the contents are stabilized. Gas is delivered from the container 10 via pipe 14 and as the pressure in the container falls, further liquefied gas from the storage vessel 12 is supplied to the container and vaporized, the volume of the container 10 being such that surges of liquid from the vessel 12 are avoided.
