Abstract

1302643 Mechanical garages ROTOPARK SA 19 April 1971 [13 Feb 1970] 20906/71 Heading B8E Vehicles to be parked are moved into a lift well 3, Fig. 1, by a platform 14 with fingers 18 which are raised above a loading platform 1 by rams 15. After being raised both sets of fingers are moved horizontally along rails 11 and lowered until the vehicle wheels 19, Fig. 5, are supported by members 21 on a lift platform 20. The fingers 18 are now axially withdrawn by rams 17, Fig. 1, so that the lift may ascend or descend whilst the platform 14 with fingers 18 returns to its original position. An unloading platform 2, which may move in sychronism with the platform 1, may be provided. Similar platforms may be provided at other levels in the lift shaft.
