Abstract

1302430 Electrostatic transducer PIONEER ELECTRONIC CORP 18 Nov 1970 [19 Nov 1969] 54887/70 Heading H4J A push-pull electrostatic loudspeaker comprises two electrets 212, 222 having like polarized opposing faces which are mounted on respective back electrodes 211, 221 and which sandwich therebetween conductively coated diaphragm 23. Audio signals from source 26 are applied to the electrodes via transformer 25 whereby during alternate half cycles the diaphragm is successively moved towards and away from one of the electrets due to the reinforcement and diminution of the normal static ray, positive charge on the adjacent face of the electret in dependence on the sign of the applied A.C.
