1300429 Bearings for rotary furnaces KLOCKNER - HUMBOLDT DEUTZ AG 13 May 1970 [20 May 1969] 23190/70 Heading F4B [Also in Division F2] An inclined rotary drum 1, e.g. a rotary kiln is supported axially by rollers 3 which are guided for limited displacement in the longitudinal direction of the drum on slideways 2 which are inclined at an acute angle to the axis of the drum. The slideways are carried by a support 11. The rollers 3 bear against track rings 5 secured to the drum. The rollers are moved by fluid pressure applied to a piston 6 in a cylinder 7 which acts via a sleeve 10 on the roller support 9. Bellows 13 are provided to exclude dirt from the slideways.
