1299200 Laminated fabrics SOC ITALIANA RESINE SpA 30 Dec 1969 [31 Dec 1968] 63356/69 Heading B5N [Also in Division D1] A hot-formable non-woven fabric is obtained by needling one or more fleeces of natural or artificial fibres or mixtures thereof, which will not melt or soften sufficiently to cause the fibres to join together under hot-forming conditions, to one or more networks of thermoplastics material being layers of randomly arranged fibres or filaments of length in the range 20 to 200 mm. and gauge between 50 and 10,000 dtex. which are not bonded together either mechanically or by adhesive; the weight ratio of fleeces to networks is in the range 10:1 to 1:1. Suitable thermoplastics materials are high-density and low-density polyethylene, polyestyrene, polypropylene, polyamides, polyesters, P.V.C., P.V.A., polyalcohols, polyformaldehyde, polyacrylonitrile, copolymers and physical mixtures thereof. The thermoplastic fibres may be crimped and stretched. In an example, the fleece is of nylon 6.
