Abstract
1297516 Refrigerators HYMATIC ENG CO Ltd 13 Feb 1970 [17 Feb 1969] 8468/69 Heading F4H In a Joule-Thomson refrigerator a branched stream of high pressure gas is utilized to reduce the pressure on the low pressure side of the refrigerator. As illustrated, part of the high pressure gas introduced at 27 passes through a heat exchanger 11 to the expansion orifice 12. The remaining part of the high pressure gas passes through an ejector 26 to withdraw low pressure gas over the heat exchanger 11 and through passages 28 and 30. If the ejector discharge is at a pressure above atmospheric, it may be used to blow off the weather cover of an infra-red seeking device after its launch.
