Abstract

1,001,403. Refrigerators. CHICAGO STOCK YARDS TURBO REFRIGERATING CO. April 25, 1962 [May 17, 1961], No. 15821/62. Heading F4H. In a refrigerated display case of the type having nozzle means 39, 41 for forming air panels across the open front of the case, the nozzles converge towards their outlet ends so that the air panels are initially directed towards each other to avoid the formation of a dead air space between the panels. A tapered insulating member 80 is located between the nozzles and an electric heater 82 is positioned along the inner side of the nozzle 41, each of the nozzles having a vaned or honeycomb structure at its outlet end. Three nozzles may be provided.
