Abstract

1,038,465. Refrigerating. REMINGTON CORPORATION. July 23, 1963 [July 25, 1962], No. 29133/63. Heading F4H. In a compression-type refrigerating system having a capillary tube 8 between the condenser 4 and evaporator 12, a valve 20 is connected in parallel with the capillary. The valve is adapted to open when the evaporator temperature falls below about 33‹ F. to supply additional liquid refrigerant to the evaporator to maintain the temperature therein above freezing. The valve may be controlled in response to the evaporator temperature or pressure or the ambient air temperature.
