Abstract

1296393 Valves MEYNELL VALVES Ltd 21 Jan 1970 [7 Feb 1969] 6754/69 Heading F2V A mixing valve comprises two inlets 12, 13 each controlled respectively by a valve 18, 19 actuated by a common disc 32 moved by a screw-threaded stem 33. Each valve has a poppet 25 moved to close on to a seat 21 by a spring 28, to control flow via a slit 26 to an outlet (14), Fig. 1, not shown, and the valve 18 has a sleeve 29 surrounding the poppet 25 with a flange 31 that can be moved to cut off flow through the associated slit 26. The spacing between an operating member 27 and the disc 32 is less for the valve 18 than the valve 19 so that, in operation, the valve 18 opens before the valve 19, and continued movement of the disc 32 in the same direction causes the flange 41 to cut off flow through to slit 26 in the valve 18. Spring- coiled regulating valves 41, 42 are disposed in the inlets 12, 13. The outlet (14) is provided with a spray nozzle outlet (15).
