1294218 Vehicles SCAMMELL LORRIES Ltd 19 July 1971 [28 Aug 1970] 41473/70 Heading B7H An eight-wheel tractor unit for an articulated vehicle has a steerable pair of front wheels and three pairs of rear wheels of which one pair is steerable. The steerable rear wheels may be mounted ahead of the other rear wheels by a differential spring rate suspension system that provides a relatively high spring rate when the suspension is laden and a relatively low spring rate when unladen.
