A motor vehicle has steerable front wheels 1, 2 staggered with respect to one another so that the vehicle has two unequal wheelbases. A passenger door 7 in a passenger service vehicle may thus be disposed forwardly of the wheel arch 6 for the wheel 2 and opposite the wheel arch 5 for the wheel 1. The rear wheels 3, 4 may also be staggered so that no two wheels are laterally in line with one another.
