Abstract

1,202,482. Vehicle suspensions. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. 16 Jan., 1968, No. 2255/68. Heading B7D. In a motor vehicle suspension, a leaf spring 1 is connected at its rear end by a shackle 3 to a bracket 5. A pin 7 limits the rearward movement of the shackle in the event of fracture of the spring. The axle, supported at the midlength of the spring, may be the front axle.
