Abstract

Pistons; pistons balancing laterally and reducing and equalizing wear oj; piston packing; piston - rods.-In an arrangement for internal - combustion engines in which a trunk piston B is formed integral with a tubular projection H which carries the gudgeon pin and works in a guidecylinder L, as described in Specifications 17953/15 and 126,061, the piston and projection Hare made of aluminium or aluminium alloy, and the piston works in a cylinder of aluminium or aluminium alloy and is provided with a sleeve F which prevents contact of the piston with the cylinder. The packing- rings E are formed slightly rounded, and the sleeve F is placed beneath the packing-rings and is secured by turning over the edge C<2> of the skirt. The sleeve may be provided with oil-collecting grooves F'.
