Abstract
1291932 Outboard drives VOLVO PENTA AB 12 Oct 1970 [15 Oct 1969] 48382/70 Heading B7V Apparatus for lifting and trimming the propeller housing 1 of an inboard/outboard propulsion unit comprises a linkage 7, 8, 11, 13 which connects the propeller housing bracket 5 with a sleeve 14 which is threaded on to a spindle 17. Spindle 17 is threaded at its upper end and carries a nut 19 which may be rotated by gearing 23, 21 and an electric motor so that the sleeve and spindle move axially and the linkage transmits the movement to the propeller housing. The apparatus includes provisions for astern propulsion, overload release and rapid lifting of the propeller out of the water.
