1291268 Frames for curtain walls A J WOODIN (T P Mahoney and A Grossman) 9 Oct 1969 49727/69 Heading E1W A curtain wall construction comprises vertical mullions 10 with longitudinal channels 16 having inwardly directed ribs 28 projecting inwardly adjacent their mouth. Horizontal members 20 are fixed at their ends in opposed channels 16 by rotation about their longitudinal axes so that a slot 44 in the lower flange 46 of each member 20 engages the upper portion 28' of the rib 28. The rib 28 is interrupted at ledges 42 in the channel mouth so that such rotation may be effected. Panels or glass panes may be secured to the mullions and members 20 by means of snap fitting sealing elements on the inner and outer sides of the wall.
