Abstract

1290013 Furniture joints; display frames etc; furniture feet FALCONCRAFT (ALUMINIUM) Ltd 18 Dec 1969 [25 March 1969] 15437/69 Headings A4H A4X and A4U [Also in Division E2] A frame is formed from channel section elongate frame members 1 and generally rigid corner connecting pieces 2, each connecting piece 2 including bosses 11 carried by resilient arms 10 that snap into respective apertures or rebates 12 in a pair of channel members 1 to inter-connect the latter at 90 degrees. Flanges 8 of channel members 1 engage in grooves 6, 7 in connecting piece 2. The connecting piece 2 may be provided with a pivot pin (15), Fig. 2 (not shown) or a reinforcing corner part (17), Fig. 4 (not shown). The channel member 1 may have a triple U cross-section and so provide grooves (23) for panels (24), Figs. 5, 7 (not shown). A pillar (27), Figs. 8, 9 (not shown), connected to feet (28) by the pieces 2 may comprise two perpendicular triple U-section members 1, or four triple U-members, Fig.10 (not shown). Piece 2 may comprise nylon or polythene; and members 1 may comprise plastics, aluminium, or an alloy thereof.
