Abstract

1288455 Valves STOCKPORT MFG CO (1950) Ltd 19 April 1971 [15 May 1960] 23608/70 Heading F2V Fluid flow between an annular chamber 11c and a port (not shown) in a bore 12, is controlled by a ball valve member 14 which is urged against its seat 15 by a spring 17a and is movable away from the seat by the downward movement of piston rod 18a, the rod being connected to a fluidoperated piston 18 which is selectively connectible to a pressure source. The seat 15 and a substantial portion of annular chamber 11c are defined by a sleeve 11 which is itself in screw-threaded engagement with a body 13 and which has screw threaded thereinto a cup-shaped member 17b, the sleeve being ported at 11d.
