Abstract

1414744 Reciprocating pumps F W BROWN 5 Feb 1974 [26 Feb 1973] 9248/73 Heading F1A [Also in Division F2] A disc spring-biased overload valve 6 is provided in the same uni-axial bore as a pair of ball check valves 7, 8 controlling the supply of fluid under pressure from a pump 2, 3 to a cylinder 1. The bias is adjustable by means of a screw-threaded insert 21. Overload valve closure member 16 has a conical tip 17 and a stem 19 which slides in a hole in the insert 21.
