Abstract
128,833. Gregory, A. W. Oct. 10, 1918. Ammonium polysulphide and thiostannate.- Tinned scrap is treated with a hot solution of ammonium polysulphide prepared by adding an ammonium salt such as the sulphate to sodium polysulphide Caustic soda may also be present in the solution. The saturated solution is treated to recover the tin as sulphide by neutralizing for instance with nitric acid, sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, or sulphur dioxide.
