Locking nuts.-A lower washer 19 fits a non- circular part 17 of the bolt 10, not extending within the nut 25, and has a toothed or ratchet edge 20 engaged by a spring tongue or pawl 26 projecting from an upper loose washer 22 which has further tongues 24 to be bent against the side of the nut 25. Tongues 27 en the washer 19 may fit the part 17. Rotation of the bolt is prevented by lugs 12 thereon fitting recesses in a washer 14 and in the work 13.
