Abstract
1286421 Optical apparatus CARL ZEISS JENA VEB 24 Feb 1971 5274/71 Heading G2J An optical device for testing the alignment and direction of a target comprises a telescope, a luminous mark 33 in the focal plane of the telescope objective 22, a mark 27 on reflecting means 28 attached to target 29, and a second objective 25, 26 located between the telescope objective and the reflecting means so constructed as to receive only part of the rays traversing the telescope objective. The second objective may be annular, as shown, or smaller than the telescope objective, Fig.1 (not shown). The mark on the mirror may be illuminated, preferably by the same source as illuminates mark 33, Fig.1 (not shown). Eye-piece 21 observes an image of the mark 27, and two image of mark 33 via the two parts of the second objective. The alignment may be adjusted to bring these mark images into the correct juxtaposition for correct alignment and direction. A graduated cross-scale 23 may be provided.
