Abstract

1286116 Joint-making packing G HAIM 20 Nov 1970 [18 Sept 1969] 45962/69 Heading F2B A pipe sealing ring comprises interlinked symmetrical parts interconnected by bolts which pass through aligned apertures in interconnecting lugs 1, 2 and 3, the joined parts being sandwiched between pressure-plates through which the bolts pass so that by tightening the bolts the parts are compressed and spread into sealing contact with both a pipe and a surrounding structure or pipe. The bolts may be provided with a tapered shaft portion to reduce leakage.
