Abstract
1285806 Coated tinned plate NIPPON KOKAN KK 7 Dec 1970 [27 Dec 1969] 57959/70 Heading B2E [Also in Division C7] Tinned plate is coated by subjecting it to a chemical or electrochemical treatment using a solution containing chromic acid or a chromate, thereafter applying an aqueous solution of an itaconic acid/acrylonitrile copolymer and chromic acid or a chromate and drying the coated plate. The treatment step may be effected electrolytically in aqueous potassium bichromate solution or by spraying of aqueous chromic acid. The copolymer solution is applied by dipping or spraying at 50-80‹C.
