Abstract

1283264 Ice-making GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 21 May 1970 24666/70 Heading F4H A refrigerator having an automatic ice-maker 11 has a receptacle 9 for ice storage removably mounted on the inner surface of a main door 2 or an auxiliary door therein and a photo-electric control means comprising a lamp 26 and lightsensitive means 27 mounted in the refrigerator frame is arranged to stop operation of the icemaker when the ice in the receptacle reaches a predetermined level. A resilient arm 63 secured at one end to a side wall of the door co-operates with a switch to stop operation of the ice-maker when either the door is opened or receptacle is moved.
