Abstract

Dispenser with horizontal scraper for ice-making machine comprises a tank (5) disposed in a highly insulated chamber beneath the machine (3) for collecting the ice. Near the bottom of the tank is a chain conveyor (9) which extends across the full width of the tank and which conveys the ice towards a discharge channel (11) with a conveyor screw (12). A cooler (13) or conditioning appts. provides a cold dry air current in the insulated chamber. Pref. the tank is box-shaped with three walls (6,7) inclined towards the interior of the tank, while the end wall (8) at the discharge end of the tank is inclined away from the interior of the tank and provided with a guide plate (19) slopes in the opposite direction of that of the conveyor. The dispenser has min. energy consumption.
