Abstract

1279839 Reservior applicators A A COSTA 30 July 1969 53168/69 Heading A4K A cosmetic applicator comprises a dispensing container 1 containing a refill 16 which is closed at one end by a piston 15 moveable along the refill by a rod 9 which is moved by rotation of a sleeve 8 having a spiral groove entered by a stud 10 on the rod. The container has an applicator head 3 which includes a tubular needle 7 the end of which punctures the refill when the head is detachably secured to the container. Rotation of the piston rod is prevented by the engagement of a rib 9<SP>x</SP> on the rod in a groove formed in the end wall of the container.
