Abstract
1,274,000. Water heaters. JUNKERS & CO. G.m.b.H. 18 Sept., 1969 [27 March, 1969], No. 45947/69. Heading F4A. A gas-fired instantaneous water heater comprises a jacket formed by a front shell 10 and a back wall 11 which has in addition to a water and gas valve and a burner (not shown), at least one combustion chamber 12 having a heat exchanger 121 above which is a draught diverter 14 with exhaust gas nozzle 141 and deflector 146, a first exhaust gas gap 15, and a second exhaust gas gap, having a free flow area at least 1À5 times the cross-sectional area of the exhaust gas nozzle, between the lower edge 149 of the draught diverter 14 and the upper edge 122 of the or each combustion chamber 12. Any back flow of exhaust gas is divided by deflector 146 and is guided by deflectors 144, 145 through gap 15.
