Abstract

1,273,887. Cams. ELITEX ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI. 22 May, 1970 [29 May, 1969], No. 24841/70. Heading F2K. A linearly slidable member 9 is reciprocated by alternate engagement of a transverse pin 8 slidably mounted therein with one and the other of helical grooves 3, 3<SP>1</SP> in drivingly interconnected rotary cylinders 1, 2, each groove having at its ends short return portions of opposite hand to the main groove. The pin 8 may be shifted from one groove to the other by fixed cams (14) (Fig. 6, not shown) or by ramped ends to the return portions of the grooves. The member 9 is slidable on guides 10 (Figs. 1, 2) or is formed with recesses 18 (Fig. 4) to slide on the cylinders 1, 2. The cylinders may be geared together to rotate in opposite senses, or connected by a toothed belt or an idler gear to rotate in the same sense. The mechanism is intended for winding machines for synthetic fibre yarns.
