Abstract

1,273,054. Ceiling structure. BPB INDUSTRIES Ltd. 11 July, 1969 [12 July, 1968], No. 35141/69. Heading E1W. [Also in Division F4] A ceiling formed of acoustic, perforated gypsum plaster tiles 7 backed with a high density layer of glass fibre to make them impermeable to air is supported from a roof structure 2 by straps 1 with perforated T-section members 3. A flexible channel section member 9 clips onto resilient sealing strips 12 around the lower edge of the panels 7 and holds an air filter 11 in place. Conditioned air circulated above the ceiling panels 7 passes through the perforations 5 in the T-section member 3, through the filter material 11 and into the room below through perforations 10 in the channel member 9.
