Abstract

1,272,279. Spray producers. T. TADA. 20 May, 1969, No. 25709/69. Heading B2F. [Also in Division F1] In a manual spray gun comprising a body 1 having a pumping cylinder 3b, an elastomeric plunger 3a and swirling means in the outlet nozzle, the cylinder is tapered so that its internal diameter is greater at its open end and the plunger has an external diameter greater than that of the cylinder at the open end. The cylinder 3b communicates via bores 2a, 2b with the outlet nozzle and a supply source 8, non-return valves 13, 14 and 7a, 7b being disposed respectively in each bore. The nozzle assembly includes a cap 6b screwed on the body 1 in which a cavity 6c communicating with bore 2a is formed. A swirling member constituted by a disc 15 with through bores 15a tangentially connected to a cylindrical recess 15b is disposed within chamber 6c, and is supported by a through bored spring loaded support piece 18. A filter 19, O-ring 20 are disposed between the piece 18 and disc 15, and a nozzle mouthpiece 16 between the cap 6b and disc 15. In another embodiment (Fig. 6, not shown) the support piece is formed as a solid parallelipiped with a raised annular portion on the face nearest the nozzle cap 6b. The annular wall has tangential passages leading to the inner cylindrical recess defined within the wall.
