Abstract

A hollow body in the form of a stud (1) is threaded (3) at one end (8) so that it can be screwed into a threaded hole of a water supply pipe. A valve plunger (6) has a stop (12) acting upon a seal ring (11). To keep the stop against the seal, a spring (13) presses on an internal collar (7) at one end and upon an external operating head (8) at the other. The stem is grooved (14) at the stop end so that when the operating head is pressed the stop opens allowing water to enter the groove and find its way out through the delivery channel (16). When the head is depressed it bears against a nut (19), with its lock-nut (21) which can be adjusted to regulate plunger travel.
